AD-venture
A small change in Instagram ads interfaces, a big improvement in user experience.
AD-venture is a new design of interfaces for advertisements on Instagram. Instead of the three dots on the right upper corner which requires users to double click and consume time and redundant work on uninterested things, we let the interface reach the user.

Problem to Solve
To motivate users to respond more frequently to the advertisements with "Like" "Unlike" and other signals, such that the platform could gather more data to better personalize their user experience and reduce possible algorithm bias due to unrepresented users.
Target User
All social platform users, especially those value personalized experience
Team Work:
As a 4-people team, following a double-diamond design process, we
- collected data with protocols including survey, interview, and think aloud user tests
- analyzed data with Tableau
- Created low-fidelity physical prototype and conducted user test
My Role
Data analyst, UX designer
- Collected and Analyzed data about user interaction frequency on different social platforms like twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram.
- Helped design and made paper prototype.
-Conducted >10 user tests to verify effectiveness of the prototype in motivating people to react to advertisements instead of simply scroll over.
